Sources and Methodology

Reference ranges are general educational guides. The analyser always prefers the range printed on the report when it is detected or manually entered.

Methodology

Detected report values are matched against known test names and aliases. If the original report includes a low and high range, that range is used. If no report range is available, a generic adult reference range may be used and labeled as such.

Calculator outputs use published formulas where available. Scores such as APRI, FIB-4, eGFR, corrected calcium, anion gap, and osmolality are educational calculations and require clinical context.

Update policy

Review formulas, source links, reference data, and calculator labels before public launch and then at least yearly. Add a qualified reviewer profile if a clinician reviews the content.
